Joseph Donnelly, WG’87, CFO of the programming division of Comcast Corporation, was featured in an article about his career path and the art of business negotiations. (Broadcasting & Cable, 10/1/07)

Maria Mandel, W’98, was featured in an article about where mobile advertising fits in the broader realm of digital marketing, and the advantages and pitfalls of targeting consumers through phones. Mandel is partner and director of Digital Innovation at Ogilvy. (RCR Wireless News, 9/3/07)

Brian L. Roberts, W’81, was noted as one of the keynote speakers at the 2008 International Consumer Electronics Association. Roberts is Chairman and CEO of Comcast Corporation. (States News Service 9/4/07)

Hideki Komiyama, WG’67, Chairman of the Board, Sony Electronics, was featured in an article about her role in expanding Sony Ericsson’s market share in the US market. (Financial Times, 9/5/07)

Andy Liu, WG’02, and David Niu, WG’02, were featured in an article about BuddyTV, which they founded to build communities around popular television programs. (Financial Times, 9/10/07)

Turner Broadcasting System, Inc. (TBS, Inc.), a Time Warner company, is a major producer of news and entertainment product around the world and the leading provider of programming for the basic cable industry. TBS, Inc. employs more than 9,000 people worldwide. Many are familiar with TBS, Inc.’s groundbreaking network, CNN, one of the world’s most respected and trusted sources for news and information. TBS, Inc. is also home to familiar entertainment networks such as TBS, TNT, Cartoon Network.

A Wharton alum, Al and his team at Turner is working with a team of Wharton students and me this term in offering to students a unique project experience, detailing a web syndication strategy for Turner Broadcasting. Al’s presentation will be focused primarily on the topic of learning through gaming, but he will be here to answer questions related to Turner Broadcasting and the business of media and entertainment. Please join us on Wednesday in welcoming Al to campus.

Sangeeta Desai, WG’04, was featured in an article
about the top 35 women in business that are under the age of 35. Desai
specializes in leverage buyouts in the retail, consumer and media
sectors at the private-equity firm, Apax Partners. (Management Today, 7/1/07)

Andy Liu WG’02, and David Niu, WG’02,
were featured in an article about their company, BuddyTV, which is a
recent Internet service offering online commentary of popular

Mort Zuckerman, WG’61, was profiled in an article
about his multifaceted careers. Zuckerman is the editor-in-chief of
U.S.News & World Report. He is also chairman and co-publisher of
the New York Daily News as well as a real-estate developer, investor

Terry McGraw, WG’76, was interviewed about the
continued growth in the education and financial services sectors at the
McGraw-Hill Company. McGraw is CEO. (CNBC, 4/24/07)

Dennis Mudd, WG’87, was interviewed about his position
as CEO and co-founder of Slacker. Slacker is a free Internet radio
application that offers personalized stations. Mudd was previously CEO
of Musicmatch, which was bought by Yahoo! in 2004. (USA Today, 4/9/07)

Mort Zuckerman, WG’61 was featured in an article about his appointment of Brian Kelly as editor of U.S. News & World Report. (Wall Street Journal, 4/19/07)
