2009 Media Summit

January 24th, 2009

The 2009 Media Summit in New York City will be held March 18 and 19. “The 2009 Media Summit New York is the Premier International Conference on Broadband, Mobile, Television, Advertising & Marketing, Cable & Satellite, Motion Pictures, Publishing, Radio, Magazines, News & Print Media.” This is a great conference with Jeff Zucker, President and Chief Executive, NBC Universal confirmed as one of the keynote speakers (second keynote is still TBD) and a variety of workshops and panels run by people in the industry. This is a conference by people in the industry for people in the industry, which makes it a great opportunity to network. Note: This is completely separate from the M&E MBA Conference. The general price for the Summit is $875. HOWEVER, there is a student special available for only $75, which is an all-event ticket for both days. To get this price requires to have a group of five or more registered at the same time. Although it is still early, we would like to get a sense of how many students may be interested in attending to make sure we have the necessary minimum of five people. If you think you may be interested please sign up at https://webcafe.wharton.upenn.edu/eRoom/clubs/meclub/0_9822f This does not commit you to anything, but merely a way to measure the level of interest.
