Acting Associate, PE Fund, New York City
A New York based PE fund is looking for an associate to study and invest in one of the following industries:
• Traditional Media and Entertainment
• New Media
• Communication
The ideal candidate will possess prior experience as an analyst with a PE firm or investment bank covering one of the above industries.

Requirements
• MBA student
• 2 to 3 years experience as an analyst in financial services
• Strong verbal and written skills
• Knowledge in Private Equity: Growth Equity Fund

About the PE Firm: The firm is a new PE venture based in New York City and focused on identifying attractive investments in middle-market companies with values between $50 million and $500 million. The firm targets to invest from $25 million to $75 million of equity per company either at the initial acquisition or over time through add-on investments.

Venture Capital / New Media / Entrepreneurship Internship Opportunity
Acting Associate, New York City
A New York based operator group is looking for an associate to support studying the traditional and Internet TV broadcasting market for a new network.
The ideal candidate will possess prior experience as an analyst with a top-tier venture capital or management consulting firm covering the media and entertainment industries.

Requirements
• MBA student
• Very knowledgeable about the current Internet content plays and consumer behavior programming trends across demos
• 2 to 3 years experience as an analyst
• Strong verbal and written skills
• Entrepreneurial, strategic thinker
• Must sign a confidentiality agreement

About Ed Rivera
Over 15 years of Media, Entertainment and Investment management experience and, most recently, an advisor to the CEO and President of SONY Music Entertainment (formerly SONY BMG Music Entertainment), several new ventures, venture capital and private equity firms. Previously, I was the Vice President of marketing and operations for RCA Music Group, responsible for operational oversight. Earlier in my career, I founded ArtandCulture.com in San Francisco and was a Director of Adelphia Capital in New York, and a board member of Latino.com. I began my career as a magazine publishing executive at Time, Inc. following my graduation from Ithaca College and hold an MBA from Harvard Business School.
